Candice Henderson

Candice Henderson is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 10 years of experience in the substance use and behavioral health field. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) and a Master’s degree in Addiction Studies Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). Candice is actively involved in professional leadership and advocacy. She is a member of the International Society of Substance Abuse Professionals (ISSUP), serves as a board member of the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board (ASACB), and is a former Board Officer and Treasurer for the Arkansas Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (AAADAC). She also serves as the newest board member of The Gains House in Little Rock, Arkansas, and previously served as Co-Chair of the Faulkner County Healthy Coalition. Throughout her career, Candice has held multiple leadership roles and has worked across a wide range of substance use treatment modalities, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) clinics, Drug Court and the judicial system, residential treatment facilities, detox programs, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and outpatient services. She also has experience working in integrated healthcare settings within medical clinics. In addition to her clinical and leadership work, Candice has a strong background in program development and innovation, with a particular focus on specialized services for women. She is passionate about building effective, compassionate programs that meet individuals where they are and support long-term recovery. Candice is the founder and owner of Intentional Connections Counseling & Consulting, where she provides counseling, consulting, and professional support rooted in connection, accountability, and evidence-based care.
